Arusha
You bypass the heavily trafficked tourist routes entirely, arriving at a private concession near Tarangire. This is the spiritual home of the slow safari, where time immediately slows down.
Enjoy your arrival, settling into the stillness, and an introductory afternoon nature walk. The camp features exquisite luxury tented suites, a viewing deck, and an expansive salt pan landscape.
Tarangire Area
Engage in an experience that quiets the mind and opens the senses. Walking without speaking allows you to hear the subtle rustle of the grass and feel the rhythm of the African soil beneath your boots.
Take a Signature Silent Walk led by a Maasai warrior, followed by a relaxing afternoon at the lodge. The lodge offers the restorative Roar & Restore Spa and elegant dining areas.
Tarangire Region
Spend the day seeking out the legendary “Big Tuskers” of the Tarangire region. Observing these massive, intelligent creatures teaches a profound lesson in patience and grace.
Start with morning wellness ginger shots, followed by a full-day game drive tracking giant elephant tuskers. You are supported by private safari vehicles, a luxury lounge, and a fire pit.
Tarangire Region
Your final day in the bush celebrates the romance of classic, bygone-era safaris, stripping away modern distractions to focus entirely on your connection.
Enjoy a private, romantic vintage picnic set up exclusively for you beneath the sprawling branches of an ancient Baobab tree. You will experience exclusive wilderness access and bespoke dining setups.
Zanzibar Arrival
You fly from the bush to the coast, touching down in Zanzibar before taking a private boat transfer across the turquoise waters to an incredibly exclusive, private island.
Take your flight to the coast, enjoy a private boat transfer to the island, and shed your shoes for the rest of your stay. You are welcomed into rustic-chic open-air bandas tucked into a casuarina pine forest, ensuring complete privacy.
Mnemba Island
Welcome to ultimate barefoot luxury. With only a handful of bandas on the entire island, there are no schedules. You wake up when you want and do exactly as you please.
Have a completely unscheduled day to relax in your banda, listen to the ocean waves, and decompress. You will enjoy private beach loungers, deeply personalized service, and in-room massages if desired.
Mnemba Island
The waters surrounding Mnemba Island form a protected marine conservation area, offering some of the clearest, most vibrant snorkeling in East Africa just steps from your bed.
Wake up and walk directly from your beach into the pristine coral reefs for a morning snorkel. The island is equipped with a PADI dive center and top-tier snorkeling gear.
Mnemba Island
The luxury of Mnemba is in the service. You never have to dine in a formal restaurant; the island is your dining room.
Spend time relaxing by the ocean, with fresh, exotic seafood and chilled wine brought directly to your beach lounger. Enjoy the services of private chefs and fresh local seafood.
Mnemba Island
For a gentle excursion, take to the calm waters on human-powered watercraft, allowing you to explore the island’s perimeter in absolute peace.
Enjoy a morning of kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding around the island’s crystal-clear shallows. Make use of kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and the pristine beachfront.
Swahili Coast
Celebrate your marriage on the water. The traditional wooden dhow is a symbol of the Swahili coast, offering a deeply romantic way to watch the sun dip below the horizon.
Experience a private sunset dhow cruise with cocktails and canapés served on board. The island provides traditional dhow boats and attentive island staff.
Mnemba Island
Your last full day on the island is yours to memorize. Soak in the warmth, the impeccable service, and the profound privacy that defined your honeymoon.
Take a final scuba dive (if certified) or simply enjoy a day of pure relaxation and a private farewell beach dinner. Bask in the uninterrupted barefoot luxury.
Heading back Home
Take a reluctant, incredibly beautiful boat transfer back to the Zanzibar mainland, leaving the island behind but taking the rhythm of the tides with you.
Enjoy one last morning swim in the warm Indian Ocean, take the boat transfer to the mainland, and catch your flight home. Benefit from seamless boat and vehicle transfers.
An intimate forest hideaway in Tarangire, blending nature, stillness, and understated luxury.
An exclusive tented camp in Burunge, designed for privacy, stillness, and authentic safari moments.
A serene beachfront escape with elegant Swahili charm and tranquil luxury.
Barefoot luxury wrapped in lush tropical serenity, where privacy meets effortless island elegance.
Secluded villa living with ocean horizons, crafted for slow, indulgent moments in nature.

Anyone from 18+ years old
12 Days 11 Nights
Tarangire & Mnemba Island
Relaxed to Moderate
Preparing for your journey with East Africa Safari Guides ensures that your transition into the heartof the wild—and onto the shores of the Indian Ocean—is as smooth as the savannah breeze. Please review the following requirements to ensure a seamless entry into Tanzania and Kenya
Passport & Visa Requirement
Passport Validity:
Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended departure date. Ensure you have at least three (3) blank visa pages to accommodate entry and exit stamps for both the mainland and island territories.
Tanzania & Zanzibar (Including Pemba & Mafia):
All U.S. and Canadian passport holders require a tourist visa for entry. While Tanzania and Zanzibar share federal immigration status, the islands maintain their own entry checkpoints.
Host Information (when prompted):
Host: East Africa Safari Guides Ltd.
Address: 11512, Levolosi, Arusha – Tanzania
Contact: +255 753 744 283 / +255 757 149 848, info@easguides.travel
Kenya Entry (Electronic Travel Authority):
Kenya has replaced traditional visas with an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA). All travelers, including infants and children, must obtain an eTA via etakenya.go.ke prior to departure.
Health & Wellness
Vaccinations & Malaria: East Africa is a malaria-endemic region. We recommend consulting a travel medicine specialist at least 8 weeks prior to travel to discuss prophylaxis (such as Malarone).
Yellow Fever Protocols: A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission (including a transit of more than 12 hours). If you are flying directly from Europe or North America into Tanzania, the vaccine is generally not required but is often recommended. Note: Proof of vaccination is frequently checked when flying between Nairobi and Arusha, or when arriving in Zanzibar from certain regions.
Special Considerations for the Islands (Zanzibar, Pemba & Mafia)
The islands offer a different pace and set of customs than the mainland.
Marine & Conservation Fees
Exploring the pristine waters of our marine parks requires specific daily conservation permits. These fees directly support the preservation of our coral reefs and the livelihoods of local fishing communities.
Mafia Island Marine Park:
Visitors staying within the Marine Park boundaries (the Utende area) or visiting the Whale Shark zones must pay a daily conservation fee.
Pemba (Misali Island & Pemba Channel):
As of late 2025, the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has updated its fee structure for protected marine areas.
Mandatory Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance
All international visitors entering the Zanzibar Archipelago (including Unguja, Pemba, and Mafia) must hold a mandatory insurance policy issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). This is a government requirement regardless of any existing global travel insurance you may hold.
Traveling with Families & Children
For our guests traveling with younger explorers, East Africa is a magnificent classroom.
Professional Advice for the Discerning Traveler
A Note on “Island Time”: While East Africa Safari Guides maintains rigorous standards of punctuality, the islands of Pemba and Mafia operate on a gentler rhythm. We invite you to embrace this “Pole Pole” (slowly, slowly) philosophy the moment you step off the plane.
