Two continents of travel end here, on the open plains of Northern Serengeti.

Day 1
Arrival: Kilimanjaro to Northern Serengeti
You land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a East Africa Safari Guides briefing guide meets you at the gate. VVIP service clears your immigration paperwork while you wait. Your guide walks you straight to the scenic aircraft for the flight north to Serengeti National Park. On arrival, an Asilia expert guide is waiting on the airstrip to welcome you, ready to adjust the plan to the day's conditions. From there it is a short transfer to Sayari Camp, your base for the night. The rest of the afternoon is yours, at your own pace, before dinner at camp.

Day 2
Northern Serengeti: A Full Day on Game Drive
The day is built around the drive. Your guide reads the terrain by what the light and the herds tell him, working the plains and river lines around the Mara in search of what the northern Serengeti does best. You move at your own pace, stopping as long as a sighting holds your attention and moving on when it doesn't. Lunch happens out on the plains, wherever the morning has taken you. By late afternoon you're back at Sayari Camp, and dinner is served looking out over the same land you crossed that day.

Day 3
Sunrise Over the Serengeti
You rise before the light. A hot air balloon lifts off the Serengeti plains at dawn, and the park spreads out beneath you in grey and gold. From up here, you see the scale of it: rivers, tree lines, herds moving as one shape. On landing, a bush breakfast is waiting, table set in the open under the last cool hour of morning. A short game drive follows, an easy final look at the plains before you settle back at Sayari Camp. This is the last full day of a trip built on time rather than checklists, and it closes the way it opened: unhurried, specific, and yours.

Into Central Serengeti
Morning starts with a private transfer from your camp into Central Serengeti. The drive itself is part of the plan, not a formality: this is prime Serengeti National Park terrain, and your guide reads the land as you go. You arrive at Four Seasons Serengeti in time to settle in before lunch. The rest of the day moves at your own pace, on the deck or by the pool, with the Seronera valley open below you. This is the last stop on the Northern Circuit for you both, and Central Serengeti gives you a quieter close to it: fewer miles, more time to sit with where you have been.

Day 5
Serengeti, on Your Own Time
Today has one plan: a full day game drive, out into the plains with no fixed schedule to return to. Your guide sets the direction based on where the animals are, not where the map says to go. Lunch is served in the wilderness, a bush table set wherever the morning has taken you, with the Serengeti in every direction. You spend the day watching, following, waiting when something is worth waiting for. By late afternoon you make your way to Four Seasons Serengeti, where a hot shower and a drink on the deck close out five days on the Northern Circuit. This is the last full day of the trip, and it asks nothing of you but to be here for it.

Day 6
Day Six: Four Seasons Serengeti, At Your Own Pace
Day six has no fixed plan. Sleep late. Take breakfast on the deck and watch the plain go about its business below. If you want a game drive, your guide is ready whenever you are, no set time required, this is time at your own pace, not a schedule. If you would rather stay close to the lodge, that is the plan too. Later in the evening, the spa at Four Seasons Serengeti is booked for both of you, a treatment to close out six days on the move. Dinner tonight is unhurried, a last one under the same sky you arrived under. This is the honeymoon gateway working as it should: nothing left to check off, nowhere you have to be.

Day 7
Day Seven: Departure from the Serengeti
Your last morning at Four Seasons Serengeti moves at your own pace. Coffee on the terrace, a final look at the plains, time to pack without a clock running. Your guide confirms your flight details and transfer time the evening before, so this morning has no surprises in it. A private vehicle takes you to the airstrip in time for your scheduled departure. From here, Tanzania hands you back to the rest of the world — though most guests find some part of them stays behind on the Serengeti. This is the last day of The Luxury of Time, and it ends the way the week began: unhurried, and entirely yours.

What people ask before they book.

We have seven days and most of them are in the Serengeti — is that too much time in one park for a honeymoon?
The days are built to feel different from each other rather than repeat. You get a full day game drive in the north on Day 2, a hot air balloon sunrise on Day 3, a transfer into Central Serengeti on Day 4 that doubles as a game viewing route, and then two open days, six and seven, with no fixed plan at Four Seasons Serengeti. The pace loosens as the week goes on, so the second half reads as unstructured time together rather than more of the same drive.
Is June to October the right season for the balloon flight on Day 3?
Yes. Dry season skies over the Serengeti are clear and stable through this window, which is exactly why the balloon launch is placed on Day 3, mid-trip, rather than on arrival. Visibility over the plains at dawn is consistent, and the herds are more likely to be spread across open ground below you rather than scattered by rain.
What actually happens on the two unscheduled days near the end, six and seven?
Day 6 has no fixed plan at all — breakfast on the deck, an optional game drive if you want one, otherwise the day is yours at Four Seasons Serengeti. Day 7 carries that same rhythm into departure morning: coffee on the terrace, a last look at the plains, and packing without a set clock before you transfer out. Nothing is scheduled over you on either day.
Is there a chance to see the Great Wildebeest Migration during our Honeymoon?
Yes, if your honeymoon falls between July and October, you will be directly in the heart of the Great Migration. Sayari Camp’s location in the Northern Serengeti puts you minutes from the Mara River, offering a front-row seat to the iconic, dramatic river crossings and vast herds sweeping across the plains. Outside of these peak months, while the massive migratory mega-herds move south, the region retains exceptional resident wildlife and a deeply intimate, unhurried atmosphere.
