Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and bypass the city entirely. You are driven to a tranquil, sprawling estate at the foothills of Mount Meru. Today is dedicated entirely to shedding the stress of your journey. There are no schedules; only the sound of native birds and the rustle of the trees.
Enjoy a deep-tissue recovery massage in the privacy of your cottage to alleviate flight fatigue and stimulate circulation, using warm, organic baobab oils.
We journey to a private wildlife concession nestled between Tarangire and Lake Manyara. This region is the epitome of the “slow safari.” Here, wellness is achieved through unhurried connection with nature. You will spend your days walking with Maasai guides and your evenings practicing yoga as the sun sets over the Great Rift Valley.
Begin your day on a wooden deck overlooking the plains. An expert instructor guides you through a restorative yoga session as the savanna wakes up around you.
Take a silent, guided walk along the shores of Lake Manyara, practicing active mindfulness while observing thousands of pink flamingos wading in the alkaline waters.
Serengeti Plains
A bush flight carries you deep into the Serengeti. Your home for the next four nights is an architectural masterpiece renowned equally for its wildlife access and its world-class wellness facilities. Between thrilling game drives to track the Big Five, you will indulge in holistic spa rituals and organic, farm-to-table culinary experiences.
A final, immune-boosting breakfast featuring fresh, local superfoods and pressed juices before your seamless flight back to Kilimanjaro.
An intimate forest hideaway in Tarangire, offering serene luxury, rich wildlife, and a deeply personal safari experience.
An elevated hilltop retreat with sweeping views, blending refined elegance with an unforgettable, classic safari atmosphere.

Wellness Safari
Anyone from 5 to 70+ years old
8 Days 7 Nights
Northern Tanzania
Relaxed to Moderate
Preparing for your journey with East Africa Safari Guides ensures that your transition into the heartof the wild—and onto the shores of the Indian Ocean—is as smooth as the savannah breeze. Please review the following requirements to ensure a seamless entry into Tanzania and Kenya
Passport & Visa Requirement
Passport Validity:
Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended departure date. Ensure you have at least three (3) blank visa pages to accommodate entry and exit stamps for both the mainland and island territories.
Tanzania & Zanzibar (Including Pemba & Mafia):
All U.S. and Canadian passport holders require a tourist visa for entry. While Tanzania and Zanzibar share federal immigration status, the islands maintain their own entry checkpoints.
Host Information (when prompted):
Host: East Africa Safari Guides Ltd.
Address: 11512, Levolosi, Arusha – Tanzania
Contact: +255 753 744 283 / +255 757 149 848, info@easguides.travel
Kenya Entry (Electronic Travel Authority):
Kenya has replaced traditional visas with an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA). All travelers, including infants and children, must obtain an eTA via etakenya.go.ke prior to departure.
Health & Wellness
Vaccinations & Malaria: East Africa is a malaria-endemic region. We recommend consulting a travel medicine specialist at least 8 weeks prior to travel to discuss prophylaxis (such as Malarone).
Yellow Fever Protocols: A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission (including a transit of more than 12 hours). If you are flying directly from Europe or North America into Tanzania, the vaccine is generally not required but is often recommended. Note: Proof of vaccination is frequently checked when flying between Nairobi and Arusha, or when arriving in Zanzibar from certain regions.
Special Considerations for the Islands (Zanzibar, Pemba & Mafia)
The islands offer a different pace and set of customs than the mainland.
Marine & Conservation Fees
Exploring the pristine waters of our marine parks requires specific daily conservation permits. These fees directly support the preservation of our coral reefs and the livelihoods of local fishing communities.
Mafia Island Marine Park:
Visitors staying within the Marine Park boundaries (the Utende area) or visiting the Whale Shark zones must pay a daily conservation fee.
Pemba (Misali Island & Pemba Channel):
As of late 2025, the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has updated its fee structure for protected marine areas.
Mandatory Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance
All international visitors entering the Zanzibar Archipelago (including Unguja, Pemba, and Mafia) must hold a mandatory insurance policy issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). This is a government requirement regardless of any existing global travel insurance you may hold.
Traveling with Families & Children
For our guests traveling with younger explorers, East Africa is a magnificent classroom.
Professional Advice for the Discerning Traveler
A Note on “Island Time”: While East Africa Safari Guides maintains rigorous standards of punctuality, the islands of Pemba and Mafia operate on a gentler rhythm. We invite you to embrace this “Pole Pole” (slowly, slowly) philosophy the moment you step off the plane.
