Arusha
Touch down at Kilimanjaro where your private East Africa Safari Guides concierge awaits. The transition from the chaos of international travel to the cadence of Africa is immediate as you are whisked to a lush, secure coffee estate. You can feel the nervous system settle. The evening is yours to decompress in absolute privacy.
Take a gentle, guided stroll through the working coffee plantation. Learn about the roasting process, breathe in the rich aromas, and enjoy your first authentic Tanzanian coffee on a shaded veranda.
Tarangire
We journey into Tarangire National Park. With a private vehicle, you dictate the pace. We will park silently beneath ancient baobab trees, watching massive elephant herds pass within inches of your window. There is no one to rush you; the day belongs entirely to your curiosity.
An unhurried game drive focusing on the complex social behaviors of Tarangire’s famous elephant herds. Your guide will interpret their silent communications as they move through the dry riverbeds.
Ngorongoro
Leaving the plains, we ascend into the cool, misty Ngorongoro Highlands. This day is dedicated to grounding yourself. Walk through organic farms, breathe the crisp, high-altitude air, and enjoy a culinary experience where the staff treats you not as a tourist, but as a returning friend.
Walk alongside a local ranger through the dense, atmospheric Ngorongoro forest trails leading to the ancient caves where elephants historically gathered to mine salt and minerals.
Join the estate’s gardeners to hand-pick fresh, organic vegetables and herbs that the chef will prepare specifically for your private evening meal.
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater before the sun breaks over the rim. Because you are traveling solo with our expert guide, you will easily maneuver into the best photographic positions to witness black rhinos and lounging prides of lions in this concentrated, prehistoric Eden.
A comprehensive 4×4 exploration of the crater floor, tracking the Big Five across the alkaline lake shores, acacia woodlands, and open savanna of the world’s largest intact caldera.
Central Serengeti
Welcome to the Serengeti. The horizon snaps open. We navigate toward the central plains, arriving at a luxury camp famously run by an all-female team. Here, you are surrounded by the fierce, protective energy of both the local women and the resident big cats.
Your first immersion into the endless plains. Focus on the resident big cats that shadow the migrating herds, utilizing your guide’s deep knowledge of the local lion prides.
Serengeti Plains
Two days of unscripted wilderness. Without the competing voices of a group, you and your guide fall into a meditative flow, tracking leopards through the acacia woodlands. The silence of your private vehicle allows you to hear the actual breath of the wild.
Venture into the remote corners of the central plains to locate elusive leopards resting in sausage trees and cheetahs scanning the horizon from ancient termite mounds.
End your day with a private sundowner set up on a quiet kopje (rock outcropping), watching the sky turn brilliant shades of violet and gold, your guide the only company you need.
Heading back Home
Watch the vast plains shrink beneath you as you board a light aircraft right from the Serengeti airstrip. You leave carrying a profound sense of independence and a story that belongs only to you.
A low-altitude flight over the Serengeti plains, the land shrinking to a wash of ochre and shadow beneath you and the Great Rift Valley, delivering you seamlessly back to Kilimanjaro for your onward journey.
A serene forest retreat near Arusha, blending comfort with immersive nature and quiet lakeside charm.
An intimate Tarangire escape offering raw safari authenticity, privacy, and close-up encounters with wildlife.
A unique Ngorongoro hideaway combining modern design with sweeping crater views.
A luxury mobile camp following the Great Migration, delivering access to nature’s most dramatic spectacle.

Preparing for your journey with East Africa Safari Guides ensures that your transition into the heartof the wild—and onto the shores of the Indian Ocean—is as smooth as the savannah breeze. Please review the following requirements to ensure a seamless entry into Tanzania and Kenya
Passport & Visa Requirement
Passport Validity:
Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended departure date. Ensure you have at least three (3) blank visa pages to accommodate entry and exit stamps for both the mainland and island territories.
Tanzania & Zanzibar (Including Pemba & Mafia):
All U.S. and Canadian passport holders require a tourist visa for entry. While Tanzania and Zanzibar share federal immigration status, the islands maintain their own entry checkpoints.
Host Information (when prompted):
Host: East Africa Safari Guides Ltd.
Address: 11512, Levolosi, Arusha – Tanzania
Contact: +255 753 744 283 / +255 757 149 848, info@easguides.travel
Kenya Entry (Electronic Travel Authority):
Kenya has replaced traditional visas with an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA). All travelers, including infants and children, must obtain an eTA via etakenya.go.ke prior to departure.
Health & Wellness
Vaccinations & Malaria: East Africa is a malaria-endemic region. We recommend consulting a travel medicine specialist at least 8 weeks prior to travel to discuss prophylaxis (such as Malarone).
Yellow Fever Protocols: A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if you are arriving from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission (including a transit of more than 12 hours). If you are flying directly from Europe or North America into Tanzania, the vaccine is generally not required but is often recommended. Note: Proof of vaccination is frequently checked when flying between Nairobi and Arusha, or when arriving in Zanzibar from certain regions.
Special Considerations for the Islands (Zanzibar, Pemba & Mafia)
The islands offer a different pace and set of customs than the mainland.
Marine & Conservation Fees
Exploring the pristine waters of our marine parks requires specific daily conservation permits. These fees directly support the preservation of our coral reefs and the livelihoods of local fishing communities.
Mafia Island Marine Park:
Visitors staying within the Marine Park boundaries (the Utende area) or visiting the Whale Shark zones must pay a daily conservation fee.
Pemba (Misali Island & Pemba Channel):
As of late 2025, the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has updated its fee structure for protected marine areas.
Mandatory Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance
All international visitors entering the Zanzibar Archipelago (including Unguja, Pemba, and Mafia) must hold a mandatory insurance policy issued by the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC). This is a government requirement regardless of any existing global travel insurance you may hold.
Traveling with Families & Children
For our guests traveling with younger explorers, East Africa is a magnificent classroom.
Professional Advice for the Discerning Traveler
A Note on “Island Time”: While East Africa Safari Guides maintains rigorous standards of punctuality, the islands of Pemba and Mafia operate on a gentler rhythm. We invite you to embrace this “Pole Pole” (slowly, slowly) philosophy the moment you step off the plane.
