The Serengeti's Western Corridor, also known as Serengeti West, is a fantastic stretch of land that runs alongside the Grumeti River for about 100 kilometers towards Lake Victoria.

The area is home to lush riverine forests along the Grumeti and Mbalageti rivers, which eventually flow into Lake Victoria. You'll also find a few minor mountain ranges in the region. The savannah is teeming with giraffes, wildebeests, elephants, zebras, and other plains animals, as well as majestic lions.

If you're lucky, you might even spot cheetahs and other predators in the open grasslands to the north of the river. It's a lesser-known but truly special part of the Serengeti that's worth exploring!
