4 Day Lake Manyara Safari Tours Stay at Manyara Green Camp

This morning, your professional safari guide will meet you at the hotel, ready to embark on a short scenic drive to Lake Manyara, a three-hour drive from Arusha town. Upon arrival at the park and completion of any necessary formalities, an enjoyable wildlife game viewing experience will commence.

Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, which can be spotted atop the acacia or sausage trees. Manyara is also home to pink flamingoes, attracted by the alkaline water. Additionally, visitors can expect to see other large land animals such as giraffes, elephants, hippos, African buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and many more. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, boasting over 400 species of birds.

Unlike other safari operators in Tanzania, East Africa Safari Guides does not provide packed lunches. Instead, we offer hot lunches throughout the entire trip to prevent any stomach discomfort that might result from eating cold food.

In the evening, we will drive to Manyara Green Camp for our first night's stay. Dinner and other essential services will be provided by a team of professionals at the camp.

Today, you have the option to forgo a wildlife game viewing during the day and instead wait for nightfall to go on a night game drive. The camp's staff will prepare a delectable lunch near a waterfall, which our team believes to be one of the most thrilling adventures within Lake Manyara National Park. Seeing wildlife freely roaming is a truly wonderful moment. After lunch in the bush, you can return to the lodge and relax until the evening before going on a night game drive accompanied by your expert safari guide.

Exploring Lake Manyara during the dark hours is the best way to encounter animals that are not typically seen during a daytime game drive, such as bushbabies, aardvarks, porcupines, and sometimes even pride of lions and rarely spotted animals like leopards hanging from trees. Our night drives are conducted on open-sided safari vehicles to maximize the chance of seeing wildlife.

After 3 or 4 hours of a night wildlife safari, you will return to your lodge for coffee, dinner, and an overnight stay.

You will be staying at Manyara Green Camp, operated by Wayo Africa.

In the early morning, make sure to witness the sunrise. Afterward, join a Manyara park ranger for a walking safari where you can track animal footprints and study animal excrement. Your knowledgeable safari guide will expertly explain which animal feces belong to which animal.

After the exciting Lake Manyara walking safari, sit down for a delicious breakfast that has been prepared for you in the bush. Enjoy your morning meal while listening to the birds chirping in the beautiful trees of Lake Manyara National Park. After breakfast, take part in a short game drive before returning to the lodge for a day of relaxation and lunch, which will be prepared under the shade of acacia trees.

Go for a canopy walk later in the evening; it is an exceptional and enjoyable tour called the Lake Manyara Canopy Sidewalk. Interconnecting wooden walkways will take you high up into the trees, providing a different perspective of the forest.

You can spot troops of baboons diving between trees, experience the feeling of being taller than a giraffe, and observe elephants from above as they travel through the undergrowth. Afterward, return to the lodge to relax by the firepit with a glass of wine.

Wake up in the morning to have breakfast before bidding a fond farewell to Lake Manyara National Park. Take the opportunity to explore the local village of Mto Wa Mbu and interact with the locals to gain insight into their way of life, which is always a rewarding experience.

This village is just a short drive outside the park, near the main entrance gate. Here, you can learn about various Maasai traditions and customs, visit local schools and markets, observe local vendors as they carry out their daily routines, and even sample local cuisine to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Later in the afternoon, you can either proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport or choose to extend this enchanting journey with us to Zanzibar.
