Description

December, January, February and March are the best months to witness the calves being born. From December or January each year, the migration ends a southward trek, running along the eastern edge of the Serengeti National Park direct into the World famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Here the area is suitable for raising their newborn calves because the grasses are full of nutrition.

    Day 1:Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha – Arusha Serena Hotel

    Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our East Africa Safari Guides driver and transfer you to the Maasai Lodge located in Tengeru on the outskirts of Arusha town. Depends on the arrival time today you will have some time to explore the Arusha city, going around the area where Slave masters dwell during the colonial era, visiting the hanging trees and famous colonial offices. You will also get a chance to visit a local Maasai Market where you can buy some handmade crafts, jewelries, and souvenirs made by women.

    Day 2 : Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

    Today early in the morning drive towards the Tarangire National Park, after arriving in this famous park, enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with your East Africa Safari Guides driver looking for zebras, elands, and over millions years old baobab trees. Again this park is famous for exotic birds of prey and other bird’s species such as martial eagle, kingfishers, francolins, ostriches and many more. The park is also recognizable for the big population of Elephants.

    Later in the evening drive to your selected accommodation for staying.

    Day 3 : Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Ndutu Area

    Today morning, we will visit the World famous Ngorongoro Crater; did you know that Ngorongoro Crater located in Northern Tanzania is now the largest unfilled and intact caldera on Earth? Well, your East Africa Safari Guides driver will explain the reasons why is now considered to be the largest caldera in the World. Today, long since having collapsed and eroded, it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600m (2 000ft) deep crater as its focal point. This unbeaten world heritage boosts over 25000 larger animals life, the highest densities of lions and hyena in Africa are resident in this bowl of plenty, including the endangered black rhino and leopard.

    “The Cradle of Humankind” Some of mankind’s earliest ancestors are known to have lived in the Ngorongoro area, where the rich fossil sites of Olduvai Gorge and Laetoli have earned this part of the continent the title of Cradle of Mankind. Today, over 60 000 predominantly Maasai pastoralists inhabit the area, tending their herds of cattle, sheep and goats and living in peaceful coexistence with the wildlife, also our East Africa Safari Guide will be able to tell you how do the Maasai people are able to live together with Lions.

    Later after game viewing you will drive towards the Ndutu area, relax and wait for next morning drama to start, be sure to charge all you accessories for the beautifully captures.

    Day 4 : Ndutu Area

    Today is all about Ndutu, there’s a big cinema going on here, the drama is really amazing. Over 8,000 new calves are born every day, lions and other cats are right there to grab their daily meal, scavengers are right there to grab their lunch from predators; the new born are running in not more than 30 minutes, the battle is at the peak

    Between mid January and mid-March, over 90 percent of fertile female wildebeest drop their calves within a few weeks of each other. Over 500,000 tiny wildebeest dot the plains and predators jump in to feast on the easy prey. In March, the wildebeest are still occupying the southern area of the park but preparing to move north as the plains dry out.

    Day 5: Central Serengeti National Park.

    The endless grass plains of the Central Serengeti play host to the Great Migration twice per year as the great herds make their way across the savannah in search of fresh grass. Between May/June and November/December, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and accompanied by zebra, topi and gazelle pass through this region. Drive to Central Serengeti, and relax into your beautiful chosen lodge enjoy the breathtaking of this beautiful endless plain, while in the lodge you can experience the random voice of the wild, from East a lion roaring, from North a lighting thunderstorm, from South a cloudy atmosphere and right to the West a beautiful sunset, this is what we call African Savannah Majestic.     Day 6: Central Serengeti National Park – Karatu

    Today morning we will make our way out to the town of Karatu, where we can relax, enjoy and shake our hands together for the extensive game viewing we did. While exiting these two beautiful homes of wildlife we might be lucky enough to spot a Lioness killing her lunch. After arriving in the beautiful setting accommodation the staff will warmly welcome us with a glass of fresh organic juice, then we can relax or one can opt for a body massage to remove rough road’s dusts.

    Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

    Today is all about the Lake Manyara National Park, the “Dramatic Rift Valley beauty”

    Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park offers a true wilderness experience in a diverse landscape, from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides.

    A Lake Manyara safari offers the dazzling of habitats with coursing rivers, seasonal flamingos and the famous Lake Manyara tree climbing lions, striking natural hot spring. There are quite so much to experience, GREATEST LANDSCAPES The Great Rift Valley is one of the furthermost ruptures visible on the earth’s surface. Coursing streams began to form its steep sides and the Rift Valley grew wider leaving behind a chain of soda lakes including Lake Manyara, together with your driver guide you will go beyond and discover the undiscovered.

    Day 8: Departure

    Rise and Shine, after breakfast if time allows your guide will take you around town to buy some gifts to take with you back home, there quite much stuff to buy such as handmade crafts, jewelers, and souvenirs.
