15 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary 2025/2026
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Once you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a friendly and fluent English-speaking transfer guide, from EAS Guides will be waiting to greet you and welcome you to this beautiful country.
After a quick introduction, you’ll hop in a car for a one-hour drive to Arusha town. Upon arrival, you can check into your hotel and a staff member from the office will meet with you to review your itinerary.
This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have to ensure everything is set up just the way you want it.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
At 10:00 am, your driver will take you to Tarangire National Park, where your safari guide will handle all necessary paperwork before starting your unforgettable game drive.
What to see in Tarangire National Park: Known for its elephant herds and tree-climbing lions, Tarangire is a haven for all the classic African savannah creatures and a few unique ones you won’t spot in the Serengeti. With its diverse range of wildlife, including the graceful long-necked gerenuk, Tarangire offers an exceptional safari experience.
Bird enthusiasts will delight in the 550 bird species found here, making it a paradise for bird watching. Tarangire, unlike the Serengeti’s expansive grasslands, is characterized by lush vegetation, open woodlands, and dense forests along riverbanks, offering ideal habitats for elusive leopards.
For those seeking an encounter with the peculiar ‘upside-down tree’ or baobab, Tarangire is the prime destination in northern Tanzania.

Day 3: Walking Safari & Game Drive
Today, we’re starting bright and early with a packed breakfast in the bush. We’ll kick off the day with a guided bush walking safari led by an armed park ranger for safety. The Tarangire Walking Safari is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in nature and appreciate the area’s beauty. Your ranger will highlight all the interesting sights as we explore on foot for 2-4 hours.
After our walk, we’ll enjoy a bush breakfast before continuing our adventure with a game-viewing session until midday. Then, it’s back to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and a break. In the evening, we’ll catch a stunning African sunset and explore the lesser-visited south of the park, maintaining that feeling of true wilderness.
Finally, we’ll return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and a cozy stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Highlands (Crater)
After enjoying breakfast, we’ll take one last peek at Tarangire National Park before heading out. Our safari guide is sure to give us a fantastic Tanzania safari experience. Next, we’ll go to the Ngorongoro area, we will make a few stops on the way to browse some souvenir shops. Arriving in the afternoon, we’ll check into our hotel, the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, overlooking the crater. We’ll be spending the next two nights here – it’s such a wonderful and comfortable place to unwind!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
It’s a beautiful day in Africa! After breakfast, drive down the crater for just 30 minutes to get into the crater floor and start exploring the caldera. Our safari vehicles are 4×4 extended fleet that gives you a 360-degree view.
The Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the highest concentration of wild animals in Africa, spanning 260 sq. km and attracting over 30,000 mammals. There’s also a wide variety of smaller mammals and birds to admire in this incredible area.
After a 4-hour game drive exploring the stunning wildlife and landscapes of the crater floor, we will head back to our lodge for a delicious lunch and some well-deserved relaxation. The Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is a beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You can spend the evening by the fire pit with your loved ones or a safari guide, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, we pack our bags and hop into a safari jeep to get to Serengeti National Park. We’ll take our time, soaking in the sights along the way. We will stop at a Maasai Village in the Ngorongoro highlands on our journey. Your guide will share fascinating insights into how the Maasai people thrive in this unique environment. We’ll even join in on traditional dances and songs and learn about their way of life. Along the route, we’ll have the chance to explore Olduvai Gorge with a private guide.
This site is a treasure trove of prehuman hominid fossils, famously discovered by paleontologists Mary and Louis Leakey. We’ll marvel at the ancient footprints and skulls of humans dating back millions of years. Enjoy a leisurely morning at camp or game drive before boarding a light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a representative will greet you and lead a brief Stone Town tour, showcasing the city’s history and auction site.
Visit the National Museum of Zanzibar, Peace Memorial Museum, and Forondhani Gardens, former British Consulate, for natural history and artifacts.
The Ancient City Of Zanzibar!
We’ll visit the Old Fort and House of Wonders, Zanzibar’s tallest building, and admire the antiquity of the old houses, many over 150 years old, as we stroll through narrow streets.
Our itinerary will conclude with a visit to Dr. Livingston House, where Stanley came for governmental matters before explorations.
Night Market Tour Experience
Our Zanzibar adventure starts at the Zanzibar Serena Hotel in Stone Town, followed by four nights in Nungwi, where our guide will lead us to explore the vibrant night market.
While not a traditional restaurant, the night market is a must-visit destination in Stone Town. Open every day from 6 pm onwards, the market offers various cuisines, from pizza and samosas to sugarcane juice.
