Day 1: Arrival Tanzania – Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our warm and friendly representative will eagerly wait for you in the arrival zone. They are excited to welcome you and your family into this beautiful country. After all immigration procedures, they will assist you with your luggage and guide you to the comfortable transfer vehicle that will take you to Arusha.

 

This trip is designed for families with kids, so resting is no exception; you will relax at the hotel waiting to start the tour the next day.

 

As always, your private safari guide will visit you that evening to explain the next adventure and answer your questions.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park in the morning. This mountainous treasure is known for its fantastic diversity of wildlife. In the park, you can explore various ecosystems, including plains, forests, and lakes, each with unique features.

 

You can spot various animals in these habitats, such as giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and antelopes. Today, you will have the opportunity To ensure your safety. A park ranger will guide you on foot throughout the park.

 

Interestingly, Arusha National Park is the only park without lions, making it easy and safe to do a walking safari. Your children will be excited today, so remember to pack their diaries so they can record some of the animals they see in the wild. This safari is incomparable to any other they have ever experienced.

Day 3&4: Game Viewing in Tarangire National Park

We are on an African family retreat tour, so there's no need to hurry! Begin your day with a laid-back breakfast before venturing to glimpse incredible wildlife at Tarangire National Park.

 

Watch for the massive African elephants that Tarangire is renowned for – you might even witness a group of over 300 elephants at once!

 

In this awe-inspiring terrain, look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, other wildcats, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, buffaloes, and more than 400 species of birds. Our experienced safari guide will ensure you don't miss anything.

 

After a thrilling morning, head back to the lodge for a relaxing lunch. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy – whether you want to unwind at the lodge and appreciate the natural beauty or go on an evening drive to search for baboons and other wildlife. Day 5: Transfer to Manyara National Park

It's time to say goodbye to Tarangire and the fantastic team at Tarangire Safari Lodge. We hope you had a wonderful time here, but don't worry, there's more adventure ahead. Your journey will take you to the exit gate of Tarangire National Park, then head to Lake Manyara National Park.

 

As you arrive at Manyara, prepare to be captivated by the unique landscapes of Lake Manyara National Park. From the soda lake nestled in the Rift Valley to the lush woodlands and rugged mountainsides, each corner of this park holds a distinct charm. Keep your camera ready for the park's renowned tree-climbing lions and the majestic elephant herds that it protects.

 

With more than 450 bird species congregating at the lake shores, including waterfowl and migratory birds, there's no shortage of wildlife to appreciate. Buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe, and impala can also be spotted wandering the shores and forested slopes.

 

Embark on a Lake Manyara safari and immerse yourself in the park's ground-water forest, vachellia tortilis woodland, and Maji Moto "hot springs." Watch for groups of olive baboons, Sykes monkeys, and short-eared galagos. Other park residents, such as Cape clawless otters, Egyptian mongooses, hippos, and klipspringers, eagerly await your visit.

 

Later in the evening, depart from the park and drive to Lake Manyara Serena Hotel, where you can unwind and reflect on your day.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today's itinerary includes a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding region, known for its captivating landscape and diverse wildlife.

 

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the "Big Five"—elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos—as well as over 30,000 other animals and a wide variety of birds. It's a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts who appreciate the beauty of a dormant volcano and its surrounding ecosystem.

Day 7-9: Serengeti National Park

If you plan to visit between July and October, we will head to Northern Serengeti for the Great Wildebeest Migration. During this time, we will stay at Siringit Migration Camp.

 

Between December and March, we will instead travel to Southern Serengeti for the Serengeti Calving Season and observe the Wildebeest Migration. Our stay will be at Siringit Migration Camp.

 

For those visiting between April and June, we will go to Western Serengeti to witness the Wildebeest Migration. During this time, we will stay at the private concession of Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge.

 

Regardless of your choice, we will also spend one night in central Serengeti to explore this Maasai land's vast, seemingly endless plains. You will be staying at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 10:Fly to Arusha Town

You can start your day by having breakfast and then head towards a small airstrip inside the Serengeti National Park. When you reach there, your safari guide will drop you off, and you will be ready to catch a short flight back to Arusha.

 

Once you arrive at the airport, a representative from East Africa Safari Guide will welcome you and transfer you to the Arusha Serena Hotel, where you can stay for the day.

 

Dinner will be provided during your stay at the hotel. You can relax by the pool with a glass of wine or read a book under the shade.

Day 11: Airport Transfer

Today marks the end of your family trip to Tanzania. We are saddened to see you leave this beautiful, natural country, but we are confident that this trip has sparked a sense of adventure for your entire family.
